re-make/re-model, live mp3

August 7th, 2006

The faithful visitor may notice a couple of changes around here: first, I’ve ditched the oh-so-popular Red Jacket Mine forum (it wasn’t doing anything besides attracting spammers and freaks). Second, I’ve moved all of the bonus demo mp3s/live videos/etc. to the brand-new Web Exclusives page, just to keep the demos and “official” releases separate.

To celebrate this new locale, I’ve uploaded an *exclusive* live recording from our June 22 show at the Crocodile CafĂ©. The song’s called “Time to Slow Down,” and it’s slated to appear on the new album we’re recording this fall. For our friends and fans outside Seattle, it also marks your first opportunity to hear the Red Jacket Mine dour trio (featuring Patrick Porter on pedal steel guitar and black hats) in all its glory. Please ignore the bum notes in the middle—this is live rock ‘n roll, people!

Come see us Friday, August 18 at Ballard’s Conor Byrne Pub for more tastes of the new material—and absolutely no shiny shirts! Hope to see you all then.
