block party boycott…tomorrow at the croc!

That’s right! Who needs the Capitol Hill Block Party, especially on Friday night? Why not head downtown to the Crocodile Café tommorow night (Friday, July 27) instead, for this lovely evening of music:

Sneaky Thieves
Red Jacket Mine
Amateur Radio Operator

Cover is $7, doors open at 9pm, and our ARO brethren will kick things off shortly thereafter. We play second and the always-devastating Sneaky Thieves will take it home. They’re sure to be wearing tortured grimaces, but that’s just how they roll—you’ll all be grinning from ear to ear.

And don’t forget to hit the ATM before the show—tomorrow night will double as the Seattle debut our brand-new, his ‘n hers RJM American Apparel t-shirts, lovingly designed by our good friend Kris Hooper! They’re sexy, sassy, sweatshop-free, and available in all men’s and women’s sizes for the paltry sum of $15! We’ll also be hawking some handsome stickers, thanks to the design prowess of our friend Anna Hoychuk. Red Jacket Mine is no longer just a band—it’s a lifestyle!

It would be our delight to see you all at the show. Hope you can make it!

get in the van

Yep, that van is ours. Tremble, mortals!!!

If Ryan and I are driving down to Tacoma on a Saturday to purchase a gigantic ‘02 Dodge Ram Wagon, it can only mean one thing: Red Jacket Mine is hitting the road and coming to fine concert venue near you.

The madness begins this Thursday, July 12 with a stellar show at Portland’s plush Mission Theater, with our good friends John Weinland and their good friends Small Sails. Both of these bands are incredible and we feel very lucky to be sharing this bill! Tickets are $8 and available at all Ticketmaster outlets, if you’re so inclined.

From there we head down I-5 to Sacramento, where we’ll share a Friday night bill at the Fox and Goose with the Foreign Cinema and Alas, Alak, Alaska.

Looking ahead, we’ve got a killer show at Neurolux in Boise next Saturday, July 21 with our good buddy Thomas Paul and Kris Doty.

If you live in or near any of these towns, we’d love to see you! We’ll have brand-new, stylish RJM American Apparel t-shirts available for the paltry sum of $15, and we’d love to send you home with one. You’ll be the coolest kid on the block, guaranteed. (Online purchase details coming soon. In the meantime, you’ll have to head out to  a show and get one in-person!)

That’s it for now…gotta start packing! See you out there!

PS - For all of our Seattle buddies, we’ve just confirmed a Friday, July 27 show at our beloved Crocodile Café with our good pals Amateur Radio Operator and Sneaky Thieves. All details can be found on the Shows page!
