studio journal update, new photos
Greetings!
Just wanted to post a quick note about some new additions to the site. First, I’ve updated the Studio Journal with some notes from our January 27 session at Chroma Sound Studio. Our good friend Paul Hiraga (from the band Downpilot) came by to overdub some Mellotron, pump organ, and other keyed delights on the new record, and a tremendous time was had by all. Our photographer friend Seth Wonner also stopped by that day to take some truly beautiful shots. You can check those out in the Photos section. Thanks, Seth!!!
Looking elsewhere, I’ve added setlists various reflections upon our recent shows at the Crocodile Café, High Dive, and the Pink Door. Seth also tooks some beautiful photos at the Crocodile show, which you can check out here.
I apologize for the lack of upcoming shows, but we’ve been focusing on finishing up tracking for the new record (which is going incredibly well). For the next month, Patrick and I will be going nuts with vocal harmonies, and I’m very pleased to announce that world-renowned string arranger Eyvind Kang will be coming in at the end of this month to work his magic on about half of the record’s tracks. I’m a HUGE fan of Eyvind’s work, so as you can imagine, this is a dream come true. We can’t wait to hear what he comes up with!
