update re: 9/29 show at the O Lounge

Splendid news!

Thomas Paul, all the way from Boise, ID, and my good friend Mark Johnson, aka Amateur Radio Operator, will be playing with me at the O Lounge on September 29. Thanks, guys!

Music starts around 8:30pm and runs until about midnight. As always, keep an eye on the Shows page for more details.

last-minute show at the O Lounge

Hey guys…

Sorry for the short notice, but I’ll be playing another show (which blows the whole “Seattle debut” thing for the Rendezvous show…but I digress) on Thursday, September 29 at the O Lounge (2208 Queen Anne Avenue).

The O Lounge sounds like a great place, very laid-back, with spicy Thai food and stiff drinks. Plus, there’s no cover! Other artists are TBA. Keep an eye on the Shows page for details.

More to come…

first Seattle show! complete band! hurrah!

hello…

I’m pleased to announce that Red Jacket Mine has finally booked its (or his, or mine, as it were) first Seattle show, to be held on October 10, at the Rendezvous.

This show is a part of NadaMucho.com’s ongoing New Music Monday series. Music starts at 10pm, and the cover is $5. Other bands/artists are TBA. Stay tuned! Keep an eye on the Shows page for other details.

As vaguely alluded-to above, this will be a solo electric performance by yours truly. The signal chain will be as follows: Telecaster + many pedals (no loops) + silverface Fender Champ. Anything could happen. Be there!

In other news, Red Jacket Mine is a real band again. Please join us in welcoming Paul Sorrells, esq., to the fold. Paul will be accompanying Andy-san and myself on the Fender Precision Bass and various woodwinds.

Paul has been in numerous Seattle bands, and has dedicated the past few years of his life to the instrumental brilliance of Tableland. Welcome, Paul!

Full band dates to be announced shortly! Also, a live-in-the-makeshift-studio EP is in the works.
